How to choose a slurry pump

The choice of slurry pump should comprehensively consider the comprehensive technical and economic indicators such as the investment and operating costs of the pump unit and the pump station, so that it conforms to the principles of economy, safety and application. Specifically, the selection of the slurry pump has the following considerations:

   1. The selection of slurry pump is mainly based on flow and lift. It is necessary to know the minimum flow rate and maximum flow rate required for the device, and the pump is selected based on the maximum flow rate. If the maximum flow rate is not given, it is usually 1.1 times the normal flow rate.

   2. The head required for the installation system should consider the layout of the piping system in addition to the minimum suction level and the highest water delivery height. Generally, the pump is taken from 1.05 to 1.1 times the lift of the system.

   3. After determining the two performance parameters of flow and lift, determine which pump type to use according to the requirements of the system. Generally, the coal washing plant uses ZZ, ZNB and ZLX pumps. In addition to its strong wear resistance, it also has high efficiency, good cavitation performance, stable operation, long life and low speed and high lift.
